Rex’s Birthday Bash

Celebrate National Parks and Recreation month with Ocala’s new mascot, Rex the Squirrel, July 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tuscawilla Park, 800 NE Sanchez Ave. This family friendly event features outdoor activities, face painting, free cupcakes and ice cream, plus photo ops with Rex. ‘Transitional Moments in Nature’s Landscape’

This art exhibit from Julijana Prest will be up July 21-Sept. 30 at Ocala City Hall, 110 SE Watula Ave. It is free and open to the public. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. Dueling Pianos

Dueling Pianos is back at the Reilly Arts Center, 500 NE Ninth St., Ocala, on July 22. There will be two 90-minute sets, at 6 and 8 p.m., in the NOMA Black Box. Guests can relax at a cafe table for four and enjoy an evening of music, cocktails and fun with friends. Tickets $27 per person and can be ordered online or purchased at the box office.
