Plaza Art Fair planned again for September
The event brings more than 250k visitors to the plaza each year.

Officials announced Thursday that the Plaza Art Fair will be back in full force in 2022.According to a release from the Country Club Plaza, the 91st Annual Plaza Art Fair is scheduled for Sept. 23-25.”Presented by Saint Luke’s, the longstanding tradition will again bring together 240 artists and more than 250,000 visitors from across the country to celebrate art, food and culture,” officials said in the release.Attendees can see 2D and 3D artwork, including mixed media, drawings, paintings, photography, digital, printmaking, ceramics, glass, fiber, jewelry, and works in metal, stone, and wood. That’s in addition to 18 food stalls from restaurants around the plaza, and live music and performances on three separate stages. “The 91st Annual Plaza Art Fair continues to be one of Kansas City’s most beloved events,” Breana Grosz, general manager of Country Club Plaza, said in a statement Thursday. “We are grateful for the continued enthusiasm and support from our partner organizations, and from the community, as it allows us to bring back this historic tradition year after year.” 2021 was the first year back for the art fair after concerns surrounding the pandemic forced the event’s cancellation.
