Wild Matters Are Going on: The Art of Maurice Sendak opens to the public on Friday, October 21 and is on see until March 5, 2023.

Wild Points Are Taking place: The Art of Maurice Sendak will be the 1st main retrospective of Sendak considering that his death in 2012, and the major and most entire exhibition of one of the most celebrated and first artists of our time. The exhibition is organized by the Columbus Museum of Artwork in conjunction with The Maurice Sendak Foundation.
The exhibition is comprised of a lot more than 150 sketches, storyboards, and paintings by Sendak drawn from the selection of The Maurice Sendak Foundation. Highlights involve primary work for Sendak’s most well-known textbooks: Wherever the Wild Matters Are, In the Evening Kitchen area, and Outdoors Above There. Sendak was motivated by writers ranging from William Shakespeare to Herman Melville.
