Seeds of the Mind on view at BobCat Gallery

[ad_1]

BobCat Gallery hosts the exhibition ‘Seeds of the Mind’ for the month of June 2022.

A metaphor sometimes used to describe our dreams is that they are ‘seeds of the mind’, and so this exhibition collects together pieces which link to our inner worlds and the landscapes of our imaginations, dreams and introspection.  The show will present works from about 40 artists from BobCat Gallery artists and international artists.

Artists Respond to Open Call to Expose Their Inner Landscapes

Created by artist and curator Catherine Sweet, BobCat Gallery is an online gallery focusing on small scale, original and above all affordable artwork. The gallery hosts both online shows and pop-up exhibitions across London, as well as heading to independent art fair.

Catherine Sweet says: “One artist recently paraphrased Edward Hopper to me – that if we could all articulate in words what was going on in our heads, we wouldn’t need to create art… and for the millionth time that rang so true, it inspired this exhibition.

This will be a diverse exhibition of original artworks showcasing the talent of BobCat Gallery artists as well as others around the globe who have responded to our open call.

Included will be both figurative and abstract works depicting the workings of our minds, and the variety of ways that artists process thought, emotion, dreams, hopes, and the ups and downs of our modern world.

For so many people in so many ways, this is such an emotionally raw time. I hope that this exhibition can contribute to the wider conversation helping to safeguard our mental wellbeing, and that people can find art they connect with on a fundamental level here.”

Virtual gallery and online private view

The exhibition will be accessible via the BobCat Gallery homepage for the whole of June. An online private view will take place on 1st June from 6.30pm GMT. The Private View will feature a brief tour of the virtual gallery as well as talks with selected artists.
